Writing a Creon® prescription

Pancreatic Enzyme Replacement Therapies (PERTs) are biological formulations. Different products are not interchangeable as they contain different proportions of lipase, protease and amylase.1-10

It’s important to specify Creon® and the desired capsule size when prescribing PERT for patients with PEI. When writing a prescription for Creon®, be sure to specify the strength and quantity, as abbreviations may be misinterpreted.11
