We would like to inform you that Viatris, the marketing authorisation holder for Creon® has decided to increase the capsule length of Creon® 25000 from 21.7mm to 24.2mm. The diameter of the capsule will not change.

The new size of Creon® 25000 capsule does not affect the efficacy of the product and should not have an impact on the patient’s ability to swallow the capsules whole.

The following doses of Creon® are available:

The dose of Creon® should be titrated following initiation to manage symptoms and maintain good nutritional status.

Healthcare professionals should focus on initiating patients on a sufficient dose using the least amount of capsules to treat the symptoms of PEI and restore nutritional status. It’s also important to educate patients to ensure they understand their disease and how to adjust dose according to their symptoms and diet, with the support of a dietitian.
